Destellitos Program

A program to raise awareness

among children and youth in our community

Who is it for?

This program is aimed at schools, clubs, and academies in our community, with the goal of raising awareness among students about the needs and abilities of children and youth with visual disabilities. It also encourages them to take an active role in helping others.

Together, we create fundraising campaigns that sponsor eye surgeries or provide scholarships for education. Examples include coin banks, raffles, and peanut sales. Students have the opportunity to meet the beneficiary of their efforts, allowing them to experience firsthand the impact of their generosity.

This program was initiated thanks to the commitment of a group of young volunteers, who continue to work enthusiastically to expand the mission of our Association—supporting low-income individuals with visual impairments.

Valentine's Day celebration at Destellos de Luz, with children and families gathered in a romantically decorated courtyard.
