Our Reality

The ability to see the light, watch a family play, appreciate a smile, or simply read a book seems natural to most of us. However, thousands of children are born blind or with visual impairments, and even more people of all ages lose their sight due to illness, accidents, or aging.

Según la Organización Mundial de la Salud (junio 2012), en el mundo existen más de 285 millones de personas con discapacidad visual. De las cuales:

246 millones presentan baja visión

According to INEGI (Population and Housing Census 2020), Mexico had 126,014,024 inhabitants in 2020, of which 6,179,890 had disabilities, and 4,956,420 of these were related to vision.
